MY GOALS & VISION

How the practice of architecture must transform to adapt to the future?

In the current society, whether in the US or internationally, good architecture isn't necessarily prioritized, as capitalism have always drove developers to invest in developments that yields the highest Return On Investment (ROI). The issue of architecture in our society lies not only on the development realm, but in institutions as well. As time and technology progresses, human and cities evolve, yet architects are still trained as if they are in the 1900s. As things stands, architecture is lagging behind current societal, political, economical, and infrastructural trends.

This is where ideologies and movements such as the Japanese Metabolism, Collective Form, Points+Line, Combinatory Urbanism comes into play. Traditionally, architects operate on a top-down operation, where architects design form (volume), and superimposing said form on the site. This operation is too static and rigid for contemporary cities, characterized by dynamic, unstable, and increasingly difficult to trace as a linear process. To address the unpredictability of contemporary cities, architects must transition to a bottom-up approach, where the site's field condition is designed and intensified to allow for architecture to emerge from its parameters.

Extraterrestrial Habitation and Space Architecture

Throughout the history of architecture all the way up until today, architects are solely focusing on problems that exists only within planet Earth, but what about issues that are beyond the planet which we currently inhabit. As technology and human knowledge advance, society respond respectively, and architects possesses a crucial role in adapting and evolving architecture which are capable of withstanding hurdles that comes with societal changes. Throughout the course of my career, I dedicate myself in exploring ways to implement technologies to further solve variety of issues that can be solved with architecture. Currently, I am very interested in outer space architecture, creating living and working modules that is capable of habitation in the uncharted sector of outer space.
